Pink is the new black and it is wide spread in a lot of design sectors, from clothing and accessories to technology: laptops, mobile phones and cars. Special people want their personality to be reflected by the things they own and pink is one of the craziest and most discussed color of all. This color is little girls' preferred color, and you can see that there are thousands of products for little girls. They like to have pink clothes, pink accessories, pink room design, and sometimes this pink trend follows them as they grow up, and they become the crazy sales girl with the pink laptop and moreover, she also has a pink mini car.
Actually pink is a softer version of red, and it can be called the sweet side of red. It is the color of candies, of bubble gum and it psychology it is associated with the weaker sex, with sensibility and emotion. While red is the color of passion and strong feelings, pink comes and brings us the soft version, the candid version of love and other beautiful feelings. As I said, in some cultures, and especially in U.S, it represents little girls, it is the word for "sugar and spice and everything nice". Most of the people see pink as a delicate and feminine color, but there are more and more men wearing and owning pink items. Red&pink both denote love, but they do this differently: red represents hot and strong love, and pink shows the romantic side of love, the charm and all the dreams related to love.

Pink and black make up
Pink make up gives a very soft look. It looks fantastic on women with black eyes and dark hair.
Black make up enhances your looks and it is very sensual. Black eye lined eyes are mysterious and give and overall sexy allure.
Pink make up in a “nude” shade looks best during summer. Young faces benefit from a touch of pink eye shadow and pink lip gloss for a natural look. Young women can also dare wear very bright pink make up, something that older faces do not wear very elegantly as it looks too harsh on an aging face.
You can combine both pink and black in different shades to have different effects.
If you are young you can also try wearing black and pink nails. They look funky and brighten up any look.
For older women pale pinks are better as they are less harsh and flashy.

Pink to make the boys wink!
Pink clothes and accessories are often associated with little girls. Pink is flattering and it is a very feminine colour to wear. Pink clothes and accessories have a place in any women’s wardrobe regardless of their age; it can look very good in most women; you just need to find the right shade that suits your skin tone and the right accessories to dress up or down your pink outfit. Wear it with black, which is always chic and in, and it never looks outdated.
The pink and black combination is a dateless combination. It is not just a fashion trend but it is more of a solution to dress up or down and outfit. Just topping off an all black look with vibrant pink accessories, is definitely a fun way to stand out.
For older women or women who need to dress for office work adding a pink accessory to a black outfit –like a scarf, a jacket, a trench coat, a computer bag or shoes- is a way to keep up with fashion, looking modern without looking like a fashion victim.

Dresses in Pink and Black
Pink dresses are very feminine and there is a whole range of pinks to choose from according to your#age< your skin tone, your mood, and the impression you want to leave. To take off the “little girl” edge off pink; add thick black accents. Wearing a pale pink working dress with black accents will look elegant. Wearing a hot and bright pink dress with black accents will definitely turn heads!Very young women can get away wearing most shades of pink, from a very pale, almost nude pink to bright bold fuchsia.
Older women will look better in soft shades of pink as the bright shades can accentuate wrinkles and expression lines on the face and neck.
If you want to wear pale and pastel pinks it is better if you match it with a neutral tone like black. Matching a pastel pink with another pastel colour will make you look “too cute”.
If you are determine to wear bright pinks and fuchsias regardless of your age, a touch of fuchsia on a black outfit will be better than a whole fuchsia dress.

What is Pink?
Cotton Candy and Little Girls:
Pink is a softer, less violent red. Pink is the sweet side of red. It's cotton candy and bubble gum and babies, especially little girls. Shades of Pink: These words are synonymous with pink or represent various shades of the color pink: blush, coral, flesh, flush, fuchsia, hot pink, magenta (see fuchsia), raspberry, rose, salmon.
Nature of Pink:
While red stirs up passion and action, studies have shown that large amounts of pink can create physical weakness in people. Perhaps there is a tie-in between this physical reaction and the color's association with the so-called weaker sex.
Culture of Pink:
In some cultures, such as the US, pink is the color of little girls. It represents sugar and spice and everything nice. Pink for men goes in and out of style. Most people still think of pink as a feminine, delicate color.
Using Pink:
Both red and pink denote love but while red is hot passion, pink is romantic and charming. Use pink to convey playfulness (hot pink flamingoes) and tenderness (pastel pinks). Multiple shades of pink and light purple or other pastels used together maintain the soft, delicate, and playful nature of pink. Add strength with darker shades of pinks and purple and burgundy.
Using Pink with Other Colors:
All shades of pink get sophisticated when combined with black or gray or medium to darker shades of blue. Medium to dark green with pink is also a sharp-looking combo.
Using Pink in Other Design Fields:

Pink Amethyst
I am sure everybody has heard about amethyst as one of the most beautiful semi precious stones. Its original deep purple color is what sets this stone apart from any other stone, and it is practically impossible to mix it up with any other crystal, or gemstone. But what about the other possible amethyst colors, and in particular what about pink amethyst?
Amethyst is a variety of quartz and is characterized by its violet color. Therefore, by definition there can be no other amethyst colors. But in reality, things look differently. There are also quartz crystals, known as prasiolite stones in the mineral collecting community, which possess light green color. Those natural prasiolite stones (but unfortunately also some lab enhanced amethyst crystals manipulated in order to get the desired change of color), when used in jewelry design are often addressed to as green amethysts. And finally, if the color of the amethyst possesses a touch of lavender or if it is light lilac and slightly grayish, it is classified as pink amethyst.
The specimens with deep purple color are especially helpful when we need to adopt new spiritual and metaphysical concepts. They increase intuition and help in installing peace and crystal thoughts. To the first-class detoxification abilities of amethyst, the more lilac tones can add a note of soothing and comfort -- attributes that are very much needed when we have to break up with our bad habits and wrong everyday patterns.
Very often I like to sleep with an amethyst crystal under my pillow. Sometimes, I also alternate between amethyst and rose quartz. The first is helpful if I want to have lucid or conscious dreams, or if I want to recall a dream in the morning. The second is more beneficial for the heart, for emotional balance and emotional healing. By using pink amethyst, the original intensity of amethyst in the area of the mind can be eased down and at the same time it can be combined with the energies of the heart.
When you find yourself pulled towards these pink shades of amethyst, then it must be the stone whose energy and vibration are exactly what you need most in your current situation. All this, of course, provided that the stone itself hasn't been manipulated in laboratory. Any stone that has been lab created or manipulated in any way with making profit in mind, is not so great when it comes to its energy influx. Very often no additional knowledge about crystal charging and programming is needed. The pink amethyst healing energies can work even while we are not aware of them, since they do not affect our physical body directly -- they act on our body's more subtle energy field.

Recently we have observed an increased popularity of the pale amethyst tones, mostly pale green, or pale pink. It appears that an ever increasing number of people are drawn to these delicate nuances, and this is especially true with the so called "green amethyst" gems.
